Somebody im chatting with online just said they are a firm believer in the walkers and talkers thing-what does she mean? We were discussing our babys development at the time. x

Those that do what is required - walk and those that don't - talk.

It's like the expression 'talking a good game'.
People who talk the talk sound pretty impressive but don't actually do anything very much. People who walk the walk my not say a lot but they get the job done.

You had best ask them, as it is open to debate, do they mean that some babies walk earlier than others and some talk earlier or some do both? Either way it doesn't matter as each child is unique. It has other meanings in other contexts.

I think it means that some people talk about things, issues etc., whereas other people get on and actually do things?
