First of all, don't sit and stew about this, a lot of us have concerns and hang ups about our bodies and the way we look. It is good to be conscious of your weight from a health point of view so long as you don't obssess. If you are concerned, it's worth checking your BMI (Body Mass Index) to look at your height/weight ratio.

You can click on this link here http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
to calculate your BMI by inputting your height and weight. There are 14 pounds in a stone in case you were wondering.

A 'healthy' BMI is generally considered to be between 20-25 although not everyone fits exactly into that and men generally are a little heavier than women.

More importantly, like yourself and ignore all the pathetic people who have made snide remarks - they're obviously insecure and need to put people down to make themselves feel better.

You're not dangerously over the BMI at 26 but if you feel self-conscious it might be prudent to increase your activity levels and make a few healthier choices in your eating habits so it doesn't creep up and worry you even more.

At 15 your body is going through major changes and growth so it's important not to 'diet' or restrict the amount of food you get. It's also equally important to make sure you get the right sorts of food into your body though so it has what it needs for you to keep growing healthily into an adult.

Try to restrict sweets, fried and fast food, takeouts, and snacks to treats and get plenty of veg, lean meats, fish, and carbs like potatoes into your diet. It's important to eat plenty of fibre - preferably in veg, bran etc and this will help your body to keep flushing through all the toxins.

Most importantly - watch what liquids you're putting into your body. Drink lots of water - at least 8-10 glasses steadily throughout each day and try to limit the amount of flavoured/fizzy drinks and caffiene you drink in tea and coffee.

Exercise where you get chance - walk places if you can (when safe to do so) and make a concerted effort to get your heart rate up a few times a week through running/cycling/swimming or the like.

Other than that, don't worry too much - enjoy life because you're certainly not fat and you're going to continue growing taller for a few years yet so it's quite likely your height/weight ratio will change in the next 6-12 months anyway. Just make sure you don't smoke though as this can slow down that growth in height apparently!

If you're already doing all of this then don't worry yourself any more - so long as you're healthy there's no need to worry about it.

Enjoy life now as much as you can - especially school holidays!

According to a BMI indicator you are at 26 which is 1 number over into the overweight which starts at 25, so really although you are slightly overweight, you are still only 15 and so your body still have a lot of growing and changing to do.

If it is a concern to you then I don't see how cutting down on the sugary foods and increasing your exercise and healthier snacks won't make the difference that is required to take you down a notch or two.

If you were to lose a half stone then you'd be 24.9 so it's really not that much to worry about! At 15 there are so many sports etc that are open to you so take advantage while you can.

Drink lots of water - that really does help as sometimes weight can be gained through water retention and by drinking water your body will regulate it's water content more efficiently as it won't be storing it thinking it's not getting enough. I speak from experience!

And just ignore all the horrible comments that have been posted so far - cowards who enjoy the anonimity of YA! Be proud of yourself and don't spoil your young years fretting over something that will be able to be resolved.

The best thing for you to do is to work out your BMI (Body Mass Index). There are lots of websites available for this.

Don't rush into diets, at 15 you are still growing and will often hold puppy fat that disappears as you get a bit older. If you are concerned try to exercise more and cut out snacks.

Ignore the other rude comments people have put on here.

This question should be in the frequent asked question section.

what is a stone? Sorry I live in Canada.

Ask your doctor for your ideal bodt weight range for your height.

there are tables online but asking doctor might be smarter. You might check with the british heart association.

Just watch what you eat. Eat more fruit and veg. I find if I feel peckish a celery stick will tide me over for a while. And exercise. Your young. You can do something about it.
