The '97 playoff brawl between Detroit and Colorado. Draper took a dirty hit from Lemieux in '96. So the next year McCarty turtled Lemieux, Roy got clotheslined by Shanahan, and then got bloodied by Vernon, who was 6 inches and 50 lbs smaller. That fight burned a rivalry for the next 5 years!

Flyers and Senators a couple years ago. There were so many fights that by the end of the game 7 or 8 players were left on each bench. Even the goalies got involved. THe Flyers won most of the fights and won the game 5-3 I think at home. You can go to youtube or google video and search flyers vs. senators fight to see it.

I would have to agree with you that the 87 Canada/Russia World Junior fight has got to be one of the greatest all out brawls in hockey. As one comentator on the 20th anniversary said, the Russians didn't know how to fight (not part of the European style back then) so they tried everything and it was no holds barred. When they tried to stop them by turning off the lights....classic.

Mike Vernon and Patrick Roy. Seen lots of good hockey fights over the years but 2 goalies hauling *ss across the ice to beat the crap out of each other is cool. Roy is much bigger than Vernon but Vernon got the "W". That was a great playoff series with lots of bloody battles, sure miss those days!

Bobcaygeon Ti-cats versus Lakefield Chiefs @ 1966. I was in it. The bus driver from Bobcaygeon was fighting the cops after, fans were fighting, fireman were fighting. The Bobcaygeon Team Doctor was arrested for brawling. Mothers were fighting, the lights were turned off in the Arena so the players had to fight their way to the dressing room and escape thru. the window..Old-time hockey..I can't remember the score, but still have the scar.

both the fights you suggested were awsome, I truly have the Probert/McSorly kept on my favorites on youtube. The funniest one I ever talked about notwithstanding grow to be Probert hostile to some guy I cant undergo in concepts. the guy realized he grow to be about to get killed so he punched Probert in the balls, then Probert picked him up sideways and smashed him into the forums.
