My job does not allow earings so I need to know how long I will have to leave the stud in. I had my ear pierced years ago, but took out the earing. I was told if you have a closed hole already you do not have to leave the stud in that long after it is pierced again. Thanks for any help.

they say 6 weeks but i heal slow so i waited for them to heal well. that took 10 - 12 weeks. even then i still put the solution on for awhile

You have to leave the stud in for about 6-8 weeks, depeding on your preference for healing time. Piericing your closed hole does not affect how long you should leave the stud in for. So, leave it in for 6-8 weeks, loosen the stud (but DO NOT take it out all the way) and apply rubbing alcohol to it 2-3 times a day, twist the stud around in your ear frequently or whenever you are bored (this will help it heal faster), and if you are not allowed to wear earrings at work but must leave the stud in for healing time, cover the earring with a small skin-colored band-aid so the earring will not show, but it can still heal.

My daughter just had her ears pierced, she was told to leave it in for two weeks, twist it frequently, and apply rubbing alcohol 2-3 times a day.

U keep it in as long as the people who pirced ur ears tell u to. Usually i think it would be for 6 months. If u take it out b4 then it will close up

6-8 weeks is about right to leave it in. It will be just about healed at that time.

usually 6-8 weeks, cover it with a plaster, if you do have to keep taking it out and putting it back in make sure you clean it properly, surgical spirits is good for clean you piercing

about 7 weeks or so if you take them out for short periods of time your ears wont close up but if you do it for to long they will!
