I had my membranes stripped on friday. Ever since i have been having bad cramps-like period cramps in my lower stomach when i stand/move/walk. IS this normal? Also what does contractions feel like?

'real' labor contractions start in your back-move around to the front and then go all up your belly to your rib cage-you can feel your stomach getting hard with each one.
it is very normal to feel that way after getting the membranes stripped--but remember, that doesnt always work.
I know people that have had it done 2-3 times and still did not go into labor.
the pains you feel now are very common with membrane stripping.

Contractions during labor feel like PERIOD CRAMPS and lower back pain.

Take some hot showers. And walk, if possible.

Good luck.
