Levi.....with that name you should definitely know these things! Mitch was a funny guy; gone too soon.
Colonel Mustard- my plumber wears a very tight belt...I think his wife dresses him. ;-)

Gorky! Nice to see you. Mitch Hedberg..late master of one-liners (I've been digging for bones on Bowser's blog since I lack your talent for thinking up clever questions).

After reviewing the posted answers it is obvious that we need to consult with an expert.

Does anyone know a plumber?

My pants are steel belted to hold in my spare tire. I tread carefully when it comes putting on my pants. I am not one to slack off. I have a good lawyer who knows all the loop holes. Tom Swiftie knows the answer he said pantingly. Who is M. Hedberg? Is he a sartorial philospher who worships at the seat of knowledge? I am not a dissident nor am I a wrangler, but I am not sure that I appreciate your off the cuff remarks. I don't like to hem and haw. It doesn't seam right.

If your beltloops are HOLDING UP you belt, obviously your belt is too loose and therefor, not aiding you.

Your beltloops are for securing you belt to the pants, ensuring the pants do not slip away from the belt.

Importance factor? Pants, then belt, then loops. If you don't have pants, you don't need a belt, if you don't have a belt, you don't need belt loops.

Without belt loops there would be no place to loop the actual belt and then your pants would probably fall down. :) So the belt loops would be more important.

Your belt. If you are missing your belt loops, you can roll the top part of your pants around the belt.

Your pants, because without pants, having a belt or belt loops at all would be a moot point.

The belt, it can still hold up the pants (primary objective) without loops.

I think the belt, becasue that could tighten up around your waist to sort of hold the pants there if you had no loops.

tartar sauce makes fish taste better
oil is slick and fish can be oily
oil is welled from with floating platforms
and floating platforms are prolific in the gulf of mexico
the gulf of mexico is has a population of fish, who are oily and taste better with tarter sauce (see items 1 & 2)
so according to this logic pants and belts are equally important as long as the slax are made by haggar.
