b.) remain the same
c.) increase by a factor of 2
d.) decrease by a factor of 2
e.) increase by a factor of 4

The answer is d.) decrease by a factor of 2, but I got a.) decrease by a factor of 4. What did I do wrong?

Help, please. ASAP.

i ought to opt for D because earth and moon are actual revolving round a effortless centre of massfor a 2 body device. notwithstanding the centre of mass is so on the fringe of earth that it type of sounds like that in effortless words moon is revolving around the earth. apart from as for tidal pull :- its both way round and could stay the same way.(newton's 0.33 regulation). So comparable to earth the moon ought to have also confronted tidal pull(had there been water). So even after billion of years( if by some skill our planets live to inform the tale from solar's blowing up) issues will nonetheless be the same way.!!!!!!!!
