Green is dominant to blue but recessive to brown.

Blue eyes are becoming less common in U.S. residents who identify themselves in census and other records as being of European, non-Hispanic ancestry. This is probably because the blue-eyed trait tends to be recessive or less likely to express when genetic influences of brown or green eyes are present.

I think in a way they are rare. I've loved one guy and he has green eyes. They are beautiful so I bought some green contacts. That may be crazy but I really don't care.I'm sorry I don't know the percentage of them.

Green eyes are the third rarest eye color, first being violet and second blue-green. About 8 % of the world's population has green eyes.
