All the decorations i see for this christmas comprises only two colours red and green i would like to know why

USA!- as I understand it, Red symbolizes love and the blood of Jesus. Green= life and hope God bless.

back in the days, Red and Green are the basic colors,but now basic Xmas colors are Red, Green Gold Silver. American use any color that that want to when it comes to decorating a tree

I am not sure, however I do know that these colors are used universally. I assume that they are used primarily to represent birth (green) and death (red) as the day is in celebration of the gift of Jesus Christ to the Christians people.

They are the same in the United States. This is from an old european pagan rite, but i'm not sure of what the colors stand for.

We use it in the U.S. I think they do in Mexico and the United Kingdom also Did you know that X mas is called Xmas because the Greek word for Christ is X?
