Yes,Definitely. But not up to the mark to bring development for the people. They develop themseves most efficiently.
In our country , our people follow hero worship and crimes commited by polititians are ignored by the people. Polititians also organise big crowds to show their popularity to the government so that they are not punished.
In General our polititians are running the governments with the help of thugs rather than by the rule of law.
In India every poiltitian is practising vote bank politics and the are afraid of the public only during elections.

a good example is :
though our parliament members are drawing a huge amount of money as salaries and getting huge alavances ,when the bill to increase the mps salaries passed almost 99% of mps voted in favour of it and only few voted against it.
this shows how greedy and selfish are they.
they really strive for their personaln intrests and they dont had any time left for intrests of public.
