My iPod's screen is frozen! I just got it and I think that it might be broken. Can someone help me?

I was just turning the wheel and clicking on a few things to find out what their functions were...then it just froze. Does this happen often? Can someone help me?

Mine has froze just a couple of times. It shouldn't happen often.
When mine freezes, I just reset it and it's fine.
Slide the hold switch across, then back again. Then hold the menu button and the center button for about 6 seconds. The apple icon will show and it should have reset.

Just reset it. Turn it off then on again.
