When will England become a muslim state....I notice a lot of white muslim converts on TV recently. Comments?

You wish! religion is a personal choice for some not compulsive way of life for the majority. That will never happen in a western country.

Although a minority of muslim fundamentalists wish for Britain to become a muslim state, it will never happen. It's an extreemist ideal and doesn't apply to the whole muslim community.

Muslim converts are just that. Just because they chose to follow a certain religion doesn't mean they fall in with the few who ruin life for the majority. Many muslims are just normal people going about their business and have no wish for the state to become officially muslim. There are infact mosque leaders who are of the opinion that if you can't intergrate, then it's time to move on to somewhere where you can.

I feel it's unfair to tar all followers of a certain religion with one brush. It's a fact that there are fundamentalists and extreemists within all religions. Do some research on the bible belt in the USA and other similar branches of christianity. There's allways a minority that goes too far. I believe this is just a concequence of being human. The best we can do is deal with the individuals who cause the problems and educate the rest.

You are looking at a vocal minority. You'd need much greater numbers of immigrants to tip the balance, and scaremongers will make sure that never happens, papers like the Express and the Sun will stoke up a racial war before it got that bad.

If you look at countries that have changed over to muslim states, they are usually poor countries. Rich countries have far greater pulls than religion to tempt the masses, the Quoran doesn't stand much of a chance against the Playstation 3.

Big cities have 3 or 4 Muslim temples and about 20 synagogues and over 200 Christian churches....OK they're all empty, but that's another story ;-)

as long as there is a breath in my body i will never convert to a muslim this is our homeland,what would the point be of the millions of lives lost in war over the past 100 years to protect this country from being invaded and taken over and they try to do it from within.Its about time people started to stand up and have our say just like the muslims do,we back down to much and it needs to change fast...NEVER GIVE IN !!!!!

When all of England choses to become Muslim ofcourse.

But those people who do convert, are still your countrymen. They're not going to try instill a culture thats different than yours. Theyve been born there, are bred there and are still very much English, but they just changed their religion.

Does this mean that being English means specifically being Christian?

The new immigrants coming here in large numbers now, are from Europe, Poland etc; and they are all Christian. As the percentage of Christians and other non muslum religions combined is already
much higher than the number of muslims here you have no chance

MY granpa lives in England and says the markets he use to visit does not anymore...because it is now all muslim and many English are afraid of terrorism now and have moved out of the city into the suburbs

So instead of fighting for their rights they convert.
