Math is considered a precise science because you can subject it to rigorous investigation and proof, which is not always possible in every science.

But be careful! Not everything in math is provable. And some of the foundations of math are something that you have to take fro granted, without proof. And there are some mathematical paradoxes.

Maths is probably the most precise science there is. Mathematicians demand total proof of any conjecture or theorem, with no assumptions whatsoever.
Unfortunately this is not totally possible. There are seven axioms of maths that form the basis of everything in mathematics, but are so fundamental cannot be proven themselves. They may seem totally obvious, but the proof that is desired can never be gained. Mathematicians hate this, but they have to live with it.
