actually there is a huge string on north pole...and just above that is a giant fairie she twirls it and keeps the world at perfect speed...ever get them days when you feel like you are running in place??? that because she slows it a bit from time to time...and then them days when you just cant get ahead???ohhh she is responsible for that as well
