My three year old niece came over and got chewing gum on my carpet and my nephew knelt down on it. So it is smashed in pretty good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

get some dry ice, its kind of hard to find but it will freeze the gum solid then you can just break it off

Well, try hair spray, ice cubes, or peanut butter. I don't know if it would work on carpet, but those are some things I've used for hair. Just be sure to go buy some carpet stain remover afterwards, so you don't replace the chewing gum with a big, brown pb stain.

use an ice cube ,(never use water on carpet) wait till its hard and break the larger chunks out , as for the smaller particles you will need to find a highly abbrasive chemical (kind that stinks) to break the gum down. Do not cut anything because berber carpet runns in rows that will frey and tear out if cut.

If the ice doesn't work (which is an excellent suggestion btw), try peanut butter. That's how I got gum out of my daughter's loooong hair when she was little. The peanut butter is easier to clean up with regular carpet shampoo.

Rub an ice cube on it for a brief time. It should release quickly by pulling on the gum once it is hard.

Try an ice cube and a butter knife. Freeze the gum and when it gets really hard, scrape it off. Good Luck!!

Yeah, dry ice, or call some stores. There are products for this.

De-Solv-It. It will desolve it and you can clean it up with water. Very quick stuff.
