Generally they will start by giving you an anti-inflamatory (NSAID). However all doctors are different.
If you want to get a prescription for birth control, just ask. If you do not want to go on the pill tell your doctor that too. Many times "painful periods" is code for "I want the pill" and a doctor may just give you the pill because they think that is really what you are asking for.

If you tell her your having problems with your period she will probably want to put you on something like birth control. When I was 16 I was put on it not because I was having sex but because my periods were really painful and every 5 days..so if your just wanting birth control and you dont really have any problems that will be the perfect way to get it without your mom having a cow! But I was on the patch and I loved it so if you get to choose you may try something like that so you dont forget to take the pill. Good Luck

Only the doctor knows what she will give you lol. All doctors are different. She may put you on birth control (which is used mroe for girls with very irregular periods) or tell you to take soem midol. There are lots of ways to help ease the pain of menstrual cramps besides medicine though. Either way good luck.

no start administration is a hundred% yet maximum pills are ninety 9% or bigger. The pill she is going to place you on will paintings for combating being pregnant too, there is not any distinction interior the pill for start conrol and to your era, its an analogous pill, so it has an analogous effect on human beings.(besides area consequences) you would be risk-free to have intercourse a million month after having the pill, so after one p.c... purely ensure you're taking it on an analogous time daily and keep in mind that's doesnt help to keep away from STDs and STIs I had heavy classes besides and that i'm now on Yaz start administration and it has made my classes lots lighter.

I find that times in my life when I am getting more physical activity, I have less PMS and cramps. Hopefully the doctor will tell you to hit the gym if you aren't already.

She will probably just prescribe you some extra strength Ibuprofen or Tylenol, unless you tell her you want to be on B.C.

That all depends on your age. You could take in more magnesium just before and during this time.
