I am brunette with green eyes and I am using green-khaki-dill-swampy-witchy kind of colors. But whatever color looks good on you only the mirror will show, so take some time and a huge palette of eyeshadows and try, and try, and try!!!

Eyeshadow has a lot to do with eye colour. For example, browns look good with green eyes. Don't take something unnatural, like reds. But a light pink is always nice!

Every persons skin type is different- So you need to figure out what works for you individually. When I started wearing makeup- the first thing my mother did was take me to an esthetician to get my colors done.
You will fall based on your hair color, eye color, and skin type into a summer, winter, spring, and fall catagory. This will give you all types of color lines that will bring out your best features. You will be amazed at the difference. I know I was!

If you need something more immediate- stick to neutrals like beiges and browns for your eyes with a brown/black mascara.
Have fun!

A lot of this depends on what color your eyes are. I love to watch the shows called What not to wear and 10 years younger. They have some great tips for persons about clothing and make up. For example one of their make up consultants told a person who had dark hair and blue eyes to wear a light burgundy eye shadow. It was a powdery substance with a little bit of a glitter to it. There are all kinds of ways to bring out your best features.

since u didn't mention your eye color, a good neutral shadow in browns would be nice. MAC makes a dark brown called Mystery, and a Shimmery Copper called Mulch. I would use a gold dust type color as my highlight and then also use dark brown or black eyeliner and do a smokey eye.

Well if you have brown eyes they say purple on the lids, dark brown on the crease, and then light brown on the brow line. It depends your eyes colour!

The best eyeshadow depends on your EYE COLOR, not HAIR COLOR.

try a darker blue and some mascara. if that looks weird then you need to try a very pale and soft color like pale pink, yellow, pale green...

I AM A BRUNETT WITH VERY DARK BROWN EYES. I LIKE TO WEAR A SHIMMERING PINK ON TOP WITH A DARKER PURPLE ON THE BOTTOM OF MY EYES. BUT DEPENDING ON MY MOODS BROWN OR TAN DARKEN MY EYES WHEN I AM FEELING MOODY. BUT IT IS ALL IN WHAT YOU LIKE. ME I TEND MORE FOR THE BLUES, PINKS AND PURPLES. WITH A LIGHT ROSE BLUSH.
