With my first baby I was pregnant again no periods in between (got pregnant with 2nd 10months after I had my first) so you can get pregnant even though you are not having periods. After my second I got on the depro shot at 2months and bleed 6months strait but it was because of the shot. After my third baby I didn't have a period for 5months. So yes it is normal and be glad that you are getting a break from it.Congratulations

By your "postpartum period" do you mean your lochia flow in the first 6 weeks after birth? That's not a period, but your body recovering from the birth.
It's normal for some moms to not have a period the entire time they are nursing.

Everyone is so different, but periods post partum can range from regular and "back on schedule" to GONE altogether. You are completely normal, and with every baby, you'll notice it will be different. Also, your period will probobly not ever be the same again; they will likely be heavier, and typically more painful after having a baby. BUT, the sweet little person is worth it all! Congrats to you on motherhood, and hats off to you for nursing!!!

Yes, breastfeeding can delay the return of your cycle. It can take up to two years before it comes back though the average is 6-12 months.
Also if you follow the rules it can be used to prevent getting pregnant. However like all methods of birth control it is not 100% and you must follow the directions.

It's normal.... because you're breastfeeding, your body will sometimes 'hold-off' on getting your period back.

if your breastfeeding it could take a year before you get your period again! but that doesn't mean your not ovulating, its still possible to get pregnant, but highly unlikely.
