tri-previfem isn't like seasonal its like otho-tricyclen you get your period every month...and im worried to get on the shot because everyone i've known who gets on it gains 20 lbs. Now that i've taken these two pill i actually feel "high" lol is that normal? This is bad cause i am extremely horny lol and counting days until me and my bf can resume our consumations lol

Me and you are going through the same problem at the same time...well the birth control shot can make some people gain weight but it didnt make me gain weight...it effected my body in a different way...i got on the shot and my cycle NEVER went off..my doctors tried everything so now I am on birth control (low ogestrel) and my cycle is still abnormal...but it is extremely light...but it also plays tricks on my...it will go off but then it will come back on...but just keep taking the pills and if the problems continue go back to your doctor...

While there are valid reasons to be on birth control, there are also (later in life) concerns about the hormones arising. The first best step is to be in communication with your doctor. This may not be the best option for you. Some prefer a low dose monthly cycle others have gone to using products that limit cycles to once every three months which it sounds like (from the name) you are trying. If it is one like a shot or an implant you pretty much need to wait it out.

First of all.. make sure you take your pill around the same time everyday.. secondly.. when you are on your inactive pills that is when your period is suppose to start.. and Thirdly.. I too was on this same birthcontrol.. and found that the hormones were too low.. I too was having more frequent periods.. so you may want to discuss that with your Dr.. they may put you on something that has a slightly higher hormone level...

I myself now have to take Deprovera.. the injection birthcontrol.. it works great.. I don't get any periods now :)

Well honey, the pill has a mile long side-effects list that all of us are "Guilty" of NOT reading!! But, my suggestion to you would be, to get off of them, and change your method's of birth control!!! Smile!!!
