when i use the heat in my 2005 sebring the inside of the car smells hot?

It smells like wires burning. Its Been cold and snowy/icey out side and i just noticed this yesterday when i went out to defrost my car. The smell is comming from the vent areas of the car. I would lift the hood but its frozen shut. Any ideas of what this could be?

Turn the heat down. Go to a repair shop for a free inspection.

How are your heater controll switches working do you have all the speeds etc if you dont it is probally the control switch
