hey have some trust in your child! if you want to know what they're talking about and who to then why not ask them like a mature adult? Give them a chance. You child deserves you to respect their privacy.

My mum tryed 2 do that on my MSN.
I wouldn't try it, it makes the kid hate the parent, trust me I know.
Luckily I have a password on it =]
Sort of stand over their shoulder and "look for something on the computer desk" it will work for a while but when they twig what you are doing they won't have anything open on the computer when you are there.
Ask them aswell! I'll be honest, I do lie occasionally because I am not allowed to talk 2 one of my best friends. But if they can trust you, they will come to you if they are worried about something on MSN.

Lets picture a playground!!!

First, you should not let your child on the internet until you know what dangers every last portion of our playground has and how you are going to supervise your child and keeping all of those dangers in line of sight.

Second, I strongly disagree with the whole "diary" thing. Again, back to our playground, that is like leaving a child to play unsupervised. Screw the whole diary thing, my child's safety comes first as I am the one responsible for my child's well-being.
