trapped thats all in how you look at it. weve had snow know for about 2 months and defenatly more then our share. ive lost power for more then 3 days in a row because of the tress falling and blocking roads. then of course it has to rain then freeze or snow again. hey but all that is good. we got a cord of free fire wood out of 3 trees that fell right across the street. we use a wood stove exclusivly for heat so cool free wood for next year. when the power is out got the wood stove to keep warm and cook on. only one way to our house so when the road is blocked cant go to work nice day off. and since we live on a dead end road the plows do not get here untill last. thats perfect because cant drive to work (wont get in an accident) instead i get to go for a beutifull walk in fresh snow admiring all the beutiful draped trees, and white snow. i can iether walk a 1 and a bit km into town or walk the other way to the lake., about the same distance.
know trapped to me would be in a concrete city regarless what the weather was like. We live on Vancouver Island.

It has snowed here every weekend for the past 4 weeks. It's snowing pretty good right now and has been all morning. I would rather be trapped in my house than have to go out and drive on the 8 inches of ice on our streets. My poor car is going to need aligned after this is over if I don't scrape the bottom of it off first in the trenches.
Don't get me wrong I love the snow. We have decided that we're going to have to wait for the spring thaw to get our Christmas yard decorations out of our yard. They are pretty much buried and frozen to the ground. LOL!

Even for Central Oklahoma, this has been interesting-- thus far, 1 inch of sleet/icy rain Friday and Saturday. This morning, another half inch of snow, sleet, hail, thunderstorms with lighting and rain-- all at once, one at a time, and it continues. Supposed to get storm three this evening.
Thanks to God, I'm home, no need to go out, warm and have electricity --other than unhappy cats (can't go out)-- I'm fine and so are friends.
Please pray for those who have to be out-- for the ranchers and stockmen who are still trying to feed cattle that have been trapped for 2 weeks or more without feed-- for the thousands who have lost electricity and are in shelters.
Otherwise-- it's really quiet.
toodles

Chicago has had almost no snow. It feels strange. A storm just missed us. I love the quiet of a really big snow, it's so pretty.

It's not snowing here but it's below freezing, sleeting nonstop, and the rodes are covered in ice.
