Well, some girls get their period at 13 and 14, so I wouldn't start preparing for something that may not come for another 2 years, however, before you will get your period, you may experience symptoms such as stomach cramps, nausea, and also if you see little blood stains on your underwear, then that is a definite sign of the beginning of a period. The only thing you can do is watch out for all those signs, and also, to feel more in control, I would recommend for you to carry a pad in your bag with you, so that no matter where you are, you will be able to put it on in case you start to bleed. Also, don't feel embarassed about talking to your mom about it - this is natural, all girls go through it and your mom may also give you some good tips. Good luck.

I had the same problem when I was your age, I had the largest chest in the school and was the first one of my friends to get my period. It's all right, the other girls will catch up soon enough. I don't know if you really can prepare all that much, except to learn as much about it as possible. If you think your going to have your period, carry a pad around with you in you bag or purse. Don't try to use a tampon when you first get your periods, pads are easier to use until you get used to having a period. Above all, don't get freaked out, its perfectly normal. Just remember that its over in a few days.

I am a grandmother with 6 kids two are girls. I just asked my 14 year old your question. Her advise is to have handy a product like Mydol for use if the cramps are really bad, as well as tampons or pads. I would go with the pads to start some people find the tampons hard to put in although they have dramatically improved the design over the years. Most times if you are an active person your body will handle the cramps easily without the need for medication.

The department among youth and maturity is unfair and outlined by means of society. This works while you're discussing some thing authorized like using a automobile, balloting, or proudly owning a gun in view that it makes it transparent who has the ones rights and what the societal consensus is abourt how mature a character demands to be for a particular endeavor. While a woman of thirteen or more youthful may have her menses that does not imply her frame is fairly in a position to have healthful pregnancies. Menarch varies w/ the man or woman. So does mental adulthood. My granddaughter simply grew to become nine. There is certainly no means she is in a position to get married and begin a loved ones both bodily or emotionally. Please perform a little study on mind growth. Even youngsters of their overdue teenagers do not mostly have thoroughly built brains. They are too mostly impulsive. Their judgment is customarily improper. Beyond that is the truth that persons ARE members and each and every folks develops of their possess means and on their possess certain time table. Another element is tradition and society. In prehistoric and or even medieval occasions persons didn't reside so long as we do now in view that of higher nutrients and clinical improvements. (I am now not endorsing the typical American vitamin of totally processed meals. That's an extra area) In historic occasions maternal loss of life charges had been prime. Infant mortality was once prime. Therefore they positioned a prime precedence on baby bearing because the function for females to be certain the continuation of the populace. People married and took on grownup obligations at a more youthful age than we customarily do in these days. In those patriarchal societies (earlier than riskless start manipulate was once to be had) a girl's valued at and identification was once completely sure up in her capability to breed. Barren females had been scorned and pitied. They had been mostly outcasts. "Spinster" firstly intended an single girl who is simplest applicable career was once spinning yarn for material making. It got here to be a derogatory time period condemning the lady in view that she wasn't married and did not have kids. Child marriage is mostly very hazardous to the baby. Women had been additionally replaceable. When a mom died in childbirth the daddy customarily remarried instantly. In a few cultures the husband routinely married the lady's sister.

you need to start keeping pads in your purse. The first time you have a period you aren't going flood all over the place, you will go to the bathroom to pee and when you wipe there will be some brownish old looking blood. And you will know, your pulse may race for a minute and you may feel panicked. But this is your right of passage so to speak. You will remember this is natural, open your purse, slap on a pad (because u have them in your purse) and come out of the bathroom with a sense of pride, you will be a woman.

Well you can't use a tampon until the doctor tells you so. So keep a small purse on your side at all times with a pad. It doesn't have to be big just a kotex regular. You may have cramps and you may not but the first sign is a bad headache. Then tiredness. So be prepared.

Keep some pads/tampons in your purse so you always have some, just in case and in your locker at school too. Read the pad package about how to use one, do the same with the tampons.
