My friend works retail in a local mall. When I was talking to her out front the store she was complaining how crappy the people looked who were shopping in track pants (especially the guys). She pointed out a few people who admittedly looked like they just rolled out of bed and came in. What do you think about track pants?

@ tydoublegirl: Yeah my friend complained about the guys who had stuff "bobbing" about in thier pants - and yes she wondered about the lack of underwear :-(

Oh yeah I should add that at one office where I worked a computer programmer used to wear baby blue track pants w/ bleach stains - when I first met him I thought he was a courier or something - not an office worker

It is never appropriate to wear track pants. Track pants are just gross, and its even worse when you see a guy wearing track panst thats not wearing underwear. GROSSS!!!
Please people stop wearing track pants in public, its ok to wear them if youre working out but thats about it.

Most people don't feel the need to put on a fashion show to go to the mall.. atleast I don't. If you see me there.. 9 times out of 10 I am wearing track pants .. a pull over and a baseball cap.. if people don't like it.. then too bad for them.. it's people like me that go into their snooty stores and make purchases to make sure their shallow butts have a job the next day.

Your friend should be less judgemental of people. I wonder what people say about her attitude behind her back?
Everyone has their own style. I personally like to only wear Abercrombie clothes. Some people hate people who wear Abercrombie beause they think they are stuck up or preppy or whatever. I'm not stuck up or preppy, I just like to wear that style of clothes. Track pants are good if you are working out, and they can look ok with a nice shirt, or if you want to look sporty. Also some people can't afford expensive clothes, so they just do with what they have.

YES, but for those who are not into fashion, it still does not make it ok just because it is your own personal style. fashion means what is nice and appropriate for the occasion, looking sporty every where you go is NOT fashionable

i think track pants are great and comfy for a lazy day, but they are a fashion "no-no"
