how old are you? If you are getting a physical, mostly likely you will be in the exam room with your dr alone. So you should discuss with your dr then. If you are old enough, the dr. can't tell your mom what you have discussed with him/her because of the confidentiality.
Hopefully you are responsible and choose what's best for you.

I would say go to Planned Parenthood, they can help you... you can certainly ask your doctor and ask your doctor not to say anything to your mom, but if it's under her plan, she would find out sooner or later, maybe when you go to pick up your prescription, it would be under the history... I'm a mother of a 14 year old, I would NOT be angry at my daughter for wanting birth control pills - even though I think 14 is WAYYYYY too young, still, I know that as parents we cannot stop children from doing what they think they are ready for - even though we try our best - I would definately be proud of my daughter for telling me honestly and I would not stop her from getting the pill.

Try talking to your mom - or even another family member. They will more than likely help you and still tell you that the pill while it's good - does not protect you from other things!!!

Good luck to you and good for you for being responsible so far! Just take those extra steps now!!!!
:)

A pelvic exam should be mandatory if getting the birth control, the health practitioner needs to make confident that one is in good actual health earlier prescribing a medicine which includes the pill.

I cant tell u how much it would cost, but if your mom is goin with u and shes up your *** the whole time so u cant even ask the doctor, go to planned parenthood. Or at least call them and ask how much it would cost!

You probably can, but why can't you discuss this with your mother? She would probably be happy that you are going to take responsibility if you are going to be sexually active - after she got over the initial shock of course.
