I have a one year old who is very advanced! I have a six year old and a husband who is only up for excitment. Myself, I am willing to do anything just to be with the family.

Minnesota is a big state, wish you had narrowed it down. Como park in St Paul is free, but they ask for donations at the conservatory and zoo. You dont have to pay though.
There are many parks state and local in MN. In the Twin Cities you can go to the Library and get a museum adventure pass to go to museums for free.
