I was 17 when I left home to go to a university in another city. I graduated from the university at age 21 and moved to another city to get a job. There I shared an apartment with two other people until I got married. I never lived with my parents again after the age of 17, but I did keep close contact with them. They also helped me out financially until I could make a go of it on my own.

I left when I was 17. However, it was for military service. I was gone for 4 years. when I came back, I lived at home for a few months, then moved in with my partner. I have been on my own ever since.

I was kicked out at 16, Because I made more money than my Dad and wouldn't pay rent. Hell I shoveled the snow ,Racked the leaves, garbage, dishes. Anyway the only child sucked to me and freedom was all I needed.

I was 21 when I moved out, and I've nearly spent two years away from home. I've had two places since moving out and I'm on my way to my third.
