I mean, how old were you when you went to live on your own or with a partner?I'm just curious because here in Europe the age average is getting up mostly due to the increase of the cost of living and the difficulties to find a proper job for the youngster.

I was 17 when I left home to go to a university in another city. I graduated from the university at age 21 and moved to another city to get a job. There I shared an apartment with two other people until I got married. I never lived with my parents again after the age of 17, but I did keep close contact with them. They also helped me out financially until I could make a go of it on my own.
