ok some assumptions that you make: "But if the founders were so anti-christian, how come the Constitution never mentions evolution?" two things, first, the theory of evolution by natural selection wasn't developed until the 1850s, almost 100 years after the constitution of you country was written [note for you: learn about chronology] second, evolution is not the opposite of christianity. "And even if I'm wrong, just because "Congress shall make no law", doesn't mean we can't establish a religion. It just means we'll have to do it without congress. An executive order, maybe? So, to sum it up, America is a Christian nation, atheists. Deal with it. America is riding the Jesus Train, like it or not." firstly, yes that does mean that you can't establish a religion, because doing so would be 'making a law' secondly, america was founded as a secular nation, it's because of the constitution, 'too much freedom', that idiotic things like the jesus train arise in your country, because I can assure you that stupid debates like 'creationism vs evolution' do not happen in my country.

I would suggest a comparison. Some of those who have written in and say that America isn't free should perhaps travel to another country (their choice) and attempt to exercise just some of the rights that they probably take for granted daily here in the USA . Don't think so---just ask a citizen who immigrated from Cuba, China, Venezuela, or even Mexico about what 'freedom' is like in those countries. I can agree however that if we continue to be complacent about maintaining our Constitutional rights they will evaporate. Freedom is not free! Pay attention to what elected officials are saying and more importantly doing in your community, your state, and in DC. Informed voters and lots of them are what help maintain freedom.

There is a certain amount of BS associated with all 'freedoms' and 'rights'.

In fact we in the UK are fast catching up with the US in being a police state where surveillance by the authorities is accepted as the norm.

America has much to recommend it but I have to say, in my experience, you can fool most of the people most of the time there because of their strong allegiance to their country.

When they vote for a President...they think he IS the country.

yes American hypocrisy is rather dull
but then every countries the same
the only thing is they are bigger, loader
and so more obnoxious than most.
The so called free trade gets me the most it is the most pathetic hypocrisy but we in the west all do that to some extent, tariff jokes etc abound.......
States all of them do what they can, so why should the USA be any different, all states are wolves sometimes they have to co operate it is in their interest but they never forget the wildness.

The only propaganda I see is the media bashing everything that is done unless its liberal.

The USA....the only place where it is uncool to be moral, religious, and/or have good character.

I want freedom from the media!

in some ways, its free-ish. we are free to be greedy arragant jerks and the government cant tell us what to say or do. we are free to have way more children then we can afford, and use the government's money to give them an adaquete life. we are free to spend huge amounts of money on reality shows and game shows, and stupid teenage drama shows that make the rest of the world think we are all snotty little rich kids that whine about everything. in alot of ways, im embarrassed to live here.

Yeah, because if we were really free we could love who we love and nobody would say anything horrible to you, we could be free to walk where we would like without the fear of being assaulted, we could live where we wanted without the fear of being persecuted, we could look at who we wanted without being accused of thinking perverse thoughts. :)

If it's propaganda, it's working. What with all the immigrants coming here, legally and illegally.
