I am the proud 'mom' of 6 girls and I am looking to meet people, especially in Canada, who also love these little critters. Dose anyone know of any clubs or chat rooms? Or just want to share their stories?

It is not based in Canada but is probably the best source of non-vet rat advice and general chit chat online. There are over 2000 members, most of whom are american, but there are many people from all over the world. Everyone shares their stories, problems, opinions and ideas on every aspect of rats as pets. List members may be able to help you find some rat-people local to you.

I don't love in Canada but I know people that do and I wouold love to have you get into the breed to! I live in New York and breed Flemish Giants and Mini Rex!

i dont live in canada but close to it i love rats i have a lot cuz i breed them and sell them to pet stores i have 3 that i keep i rased mine from when they were born and i like them better then hampsters cuz i never got bite by a rat

i dont live in canada but i absolutely love rats. ive had 2 of my own. snowball my girl lived for about 2 years only she was the nicest rat ever though. she was small and always went to the bathroom in her litter box. she died of a respitory desease. she was so funny, one time i left a rat beanie baby on a table and i accidentally left her cage door open. she got out of her cage went and got the beanie baby and brought it back into her cage and fell asleep beside it haha. my new one his name is friday because we got him on friday the 13th. he isnt as nice as the other rat though he is really cute. as soon as you take him out of his cage he poops on you. ewwwww. i love them both so much. they really are great little guys. mine are so spoiled rotten i let them eat on the kitchen table and make little peanut butter treats made out of cheerios bananas peanut butter apples grapes and its all stuck to the inside of a toilet paper role. its so funny to see him try to get every last bite. he also has a 6 story condo out side of his home made out of old shoe boxes and other stuff. but ya i love them!!!!!
