I know some of you may not agree with me, but realize that i have an a$s. that means i have an opinion.

with this said, i believe that we as humans should be able to put whatever we want in and out of our bodies without anyone's authority. (with regulated use of hard drugs like heroin and meth and crack cocaine).
look at the irony of the situation. We see "Just say no" and "Stop drug use" advertisements all over the place. Well when was the last time you have seen a "Stop the violence" advertisement? They do exist, but not as many as the former.

And when you have so many ads with anti marijuana and other drugs ads going around, this prevents another group of people with a different opinion from stating their beliefs for the most part to the public. simply throwing a person in prison will NOT get them off of the drug and make them learn a lesson.
Guns, weapons used to kill other people are legal. But a simple drug like weed is not.

what angers me the most is that human fill the prisons with other humans who use drugs by choice, but at the same time support drugging humans with no choice in psychiatric hospitals. For some reason putting drugs in your body by yourself is bad, but someone you dont know putting drugs in your body without choice is good. Is America's goal to make the cannabis plant and the opium and coca plant extinct? How come it is okay for me to buy an AK-47, but not okay for me to buy half an ounce of cannabis?

life is so backwards to me it seems. and sometimes i feel like im one of the only few who think so.

People who talk about ending drug use are either ignorant or hypocritical. The ignorant ones think that:

1) Drug use can be stopped in a relatively free society. It can't
2) Drug use is bad. It can be but not necessarily. No more than fast food, alcohol, and tobacco and any number of other substances and activities.

As for stopping violence, have you noticed how much entertainment is based on violence? Books, movies, and TV shows are largely based on violent crime. This is a violent country. Has been ever since the original colonists came over. Many of them were criminals expelled from Europe. Plus, nobody knows exactly why we are so violent and what could be done about it. I think it's relatted to poverty and discrimination, so maybe if we made more good jobs available, it would tend to decrease the violence.

Good points though. You're absolutely right.

The hypocritical ones pretend to be opposed to drug use, but they really just want to continue the "war" on drugs. This "war" is part of the prison-industrial complex, which is similar to the military-industrial complex. Both involve never-ending wars that can be profited from by the war and drug profiteers.

Weed is probably less harmless than Alcohol but look at how it was in yester year with Prohibition. It depends on society at the time and the general attitude of thought. However, with that said drugs like meth, coke, and such contribute to the violence issue because they do radically enhance or change the normal mental processes and people react from emotions much quicker. Nothing is 100% right and like wise nothing 100% wrong in this respect. There has to be a guide to set the standard. With personal self control you don't have to worry about someone else setting your bounds you have sense enough for that yourself. Lots of people though abuse themselves as much as anyone. It's a fact.

Well in my opinion and experence most drugs cause violence. Meth and crack are the first two that come to mind. They both make a person very irritable and violent. Drugs are the heart of the problem.
