1) Very rarely, only more powerful entities - that's akin to poltergeist activity
2) You can do it by yourself, but it is not recommended.
3) A quiet and safe place, for obvious practical reasons. A bare room is fine. If you do summon the big guy, you don't him to trash your room.
4) The point of this is to keep you calm, not scared. A relaxing atmosphere prepares the mind more.
5) The best way is to lie the board, and yourselves, inside a big pentagram. The pentagram is not evil - it is a mark of protection against spiritual attack.
6) Just be sensible and don't spend too long on a particular spirit.

OK... I have some answers:

1. You can try. But I do recommend that someone should be touching the pointer, simply because it works by someone channeling the spirit. Spirits don't have substance, you see. So it may be a bit difficult for them to move the pointer.

2. Usually three. Two on the pointer, one to record any information. The person writing usually will record what was done, what questions were asked and what kind of answer, if any, was received.

3. You can use the board anywhere, but I suggest you do it in a place that is comfortable for you. People have used the boards outdoors, indoors, anywhere that they can sit around and discuss what they are doing.

4. Naaaa, you can do it in daylight, and candles are not really necessary. You are channeling the spirit. What else do you need other than yourselves.

5. Ummm... you been watching too much TV or listening to people who have never done it. Spirits do not have substance. Therefore, they are not going to "come out".
If you feel that this tool scares you, then you should not be working with it. Rather, you should be learning to understand what it is you will be working with. If something scares you, find out why. Are you listening to Hollywood rambles, or the preacher on Sunday who has never, ever done this yet thinks he is smart enough to tell you all about it?

Good grief... If you want to know about Christianity, go to a preacher. But if you want to learn about things that a preacher has not got a clue about, go to someone who has worked with it.

So, back to the board. It is a tool for speaking to spirits. That's why it's called a "talking board". Ouija is a brand name. There are many different kinds of boards, but all have the same elements, just different designs. There is a board with letters, yes and no, and a planchette... or the pointer as you call it.

You channel the spirit. The spirit talks through you by motivating your hand to move the planchette. Yes, you have contact with the spirit, and no, it will not harm you.

Want to know more about spirits? "Of Spirits: The Book of Rowan" by Ivo Dominguez Jr. Excellent resource.

Finally, if you really want to protect yourself, cast the warm bubble of protection about yourself. But it really is not necessary, and it only sets up a barrier between yourself and the spirits.

6. Your purpose in using the tool is to ask questions. If the spirit does not want to answer, it will not. Otherwise, you are asking whatever it is you need to know.

Again, this board is a tool, nothing more. It is not a portal, it is not a gateway, it is a tool. You are the portal, you are the gateway.

And if this scares you, then again I suggest you need to understand what it is you are doing, and with understanding comes the ability to not be scared. We have been taught so much crap for so long, because there are people out there who can not deal with how life really is. They feed you from birth that things they feel you should not be doing are wrong, scary and we grow up with preconceived notions about things we never really explored or know about.

Get the book, read it, and understand what spirits are really about.

They are made by Hasbro, that should be enough, but...

Their history is also documented as being made up (see first link) - I am still amazed by"believers" who are apparently unaware of this (and build upon it as true)

All claims to the supernatural are not supported (stories of people saying "something strange happened" do not prove spirits exist; it could have been any number of things THEY just couldn't explain at the time).

Believing (or wanting to be true) with no evidence is one thing, CLAIM something to be true and you need evidence.

To all who claim it "worked for them" you can now prove it; by taking the One Million Dollar Challenge (see last link)

No money = No truth... no argument

1) No.
2) Doesn't matter.
3) I wouldn't use it in a holy place.
4) Nope. Just helps set the mood, really.
5) Doubt it.
6) Probably ones that deal with advice or religion.

okay personally I have used a Ouija board before and I am here to tell you that it works. As far as the whole devil thing it's all in how you interpret it. If you go back and look in history though it's not necessarily anything to do with demons. We have always used it in a dark room lit with only candles. Before you use the ouija board ask the lord to watch over you.

It's just a toy.

No it doesn't work without anyone touching it.

The rest of the questions don't matter because IT'S JUST A TOY!!

(sorry for the shouting. I just get a little frustrated)

Hello! Thank you for posing your question here. Using such a "game" can be quite alluring and fascinating, but please do not use it... or any other such devices to contact the spirit world.

If you are a Christian, please read Deuteronomy, and for those who object and say we do not fall under the old law... then please read Paul's letters to the churches, or the story about Saul consulting the witch of Endor(?)

Anyway, you are asking the right question to the right person because I have over 12 years of history that I wish I hadn't gone through.
It can and does work without using the pointer... we used a wine glass the stem got hot and broke. you can use this by yourself. ( Do NOT use it at all, stay away from it. burn it if you have it in your posession.)
It doesn't matter where or when, or how often, one time was enough for me... as far as I know my friends were not "effected" but then again we didn't talk about it after that night. I was the skeptic of the group... and I asked "it " to prove itself... something which the bible is strict about... you do not ask spirits questions or talk to them, or seek them out... my unknowing almost got me KILLED!!!!

Anyway my story is a long one, and I do not want to scare anyone, but I will say that the spirit was attracted to me... I suspected because I was the virgin of the group, but now it was also because I had a knowledge of God and evil didn't want me seeking out God... Over the 12 years the more I tried to find God, the harder the attacks were.
If yu ever use one of these and 'nothing" happens... uh that is false. There are still spirits around, they just haven't made themselves known yet.

My children saw beings pass by thier bedroom up the stairs to mine... I lay paralyzed in my bed, I heard thier screams of terror, but I could do nothing... I saw nothing... I felt things but never saw what they saw... I never told them or anyone... untill they were much older to understand that they should turn to God for the truth and answers not this!
The first attack I had... I was 17 sharing a bed room with my sister... she was on the phone with her boyfriend. I was annoyed because it was a schoolnight and very late... I turned away from her bed in a huff and JUST CLOSED MY EYES! I wasn't sleeping, when a funny sensation crept all over my body at once... I couldn't move! It was a constant struggling effort to keep my eyes open. I could see her ( My sister in her bed) and I could still hear her! I tried to speak but only I could hear my whisper and then suddenly my voice was gone! I tried to move my head... it was like moving a magnet that repelled another... it didn't want to move! I had no idea what was happening, and then suddenly I felt pressure on my chest , like someone putting both thier knees into my chest.... oh my throat began to ache like something was being forced down there that wouldn't fit.
I began to panic and began to say THE LORD's PRAYER in my mind! Then it became jumbled and then... suddenly the words were gone. I knew this prayer like the back of my hand. I actually remember screaming " what's going on! " in the echoes of my mind... All I could do was scream out Jesus! Jesus! I screamed it over and over and stronger and finally the feeling was ... gone... I could move. I jumped out of bed gabbed the crusifix off the wall and placed it on my bare chest. ( Nothing happened) But I had to make sure! I knew what happened, and my sister said it must have been a dream... I told her of her conversation... she just sat there in silence.
There is more to tell, but I think I have already said enough... I have seen things, heard things... been molested in my sleep...
seen my spirit being pulled out of my body, or should I say lured... the night of the ouija board, when we asked it to prove itself, I clearly was its target. I had a chain around my neck... I never took off, and it suddenly feel to my lap... the clasp had been undone it wasn't broken...
People have told me I suffered from sleep paralysis, but I asked them " then why does it go away when I call upon Jesus?" they can give me no explanation... the bible has alot to say about it... please leave it alone, it's an abomination to the Lord...
Be safe, God Bless.
Shannon
