Would it be like in the movies or would be different would you band together with others or try to make it on your own, where would you go what would be the safest place to be and survive and witch zombie movie do you think comes close?

It depends on what size the outbreak is. You say a zombie apocalypse, so I'm guessing you mean a Class 4 outbreak. (an outbreak on a global scale)
The best way to survive an outbreak of that size is to already have a safehouse set up somewhere in the most un-inhabited place on earth you can find. Somewhere far, far away from civilization, where zombies would never wander to. Learn to grow your own food and be self-sufficient, and live there till the war is over.
That’s how the Zombie Survival Guide says to go about a Class 4 outbreak, so that’s roughly how I’d do it. Unless I didn’t have a safehouse like that already setup. Then I’d just wing it.

I would personally loot the nearest gun shop and food store and band together a couple of friends and family menbers. Then I'd fill my bath tub with water and destroy the stairs to the second story. Then i'd sit up on the second floor picking off zombies with my 50. caliber until I'm overrun by the undead.
If you want to know exactly how to survive, pick up "The Zombie Survial Guide" by Max Brooks. It's the best book ever!

I really hope this actually happens some day. I would head to a grocery store, dept. store or the mall (like dawn of the dead) and either trap myself in there or just gather enough supplies and head north. i've never seen a zombie that can negotiate through a couple feet of snow. Although unless i figured out what was going on fast enough, i doubt i would ever make it out alive. this area is too populated. there would be too many zombies and too many panicked living people.

i think i would find two other people steel some food and guns then go to the local bank and lock ourselves in the vault.(my luck,they wouldn't have a vault)if you get too many people you would get slowed down and not know who is bitten.
