Have you checked AbeBooks? They have 50+ versions of this book for sale - it has apparently come out in a variety of formats and editions. A few of them date pre-1930. None seem to be of tremendous value, other than one which is inscribed and signed by the author. If you haven't been to this website, I'd suggest reading through them to see if any are a close match ( #20 sounds close given your description). Good luck.

For starters, you can go to a website called addall (http://used.addall.com/Used/) and search for Arthur Mee's Book of One Thousand Beautiful Things. You'll find there that the top price for that book amongst all used booksellers online is less than $20. Of course, yours could be different from anything listed there. You can check out descriptions of the ones listed and see if they match yours, such as year, green cloth, etc. If you can't find the exact description of your book here, you should find a used/rare bookseller in your area and take it to them to see what they can tell you.

Some books dont have a great value because they are old. Is it a first edition? I would be very careful where you get it evaluated. Go somewhere reputable. Maybe you could ask your local library where to take it.

Time travel back to 1925 and price it at a bookstore.
