My Windows will not go to sleep or hibernate when i tell it to, what is up with that, can i fix it, if so how, if i cannot what can i do to make it work...

go to properties desktop and set the settings there

punish it for not obeying you by ignoring it. Or when you setup the screensaver or power options to go into sleep mode after a certain period of time don't touch the mouse or the keyboard as those are set to wake the computer from sleep mode and standby/hibernation.

If all the above option fails, install then this is a flaw in XP which can be repaired by a hotfix from microsoft.com Alternatively, u can install autopatcher XP & then select the option to update...
