Help! My dad is driving me crazy to find out when a flim of the opera The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh is out. He saw a documentary about the making of it over xmas but we can find no trace of the film. Has it already been out in cinemas? Is it still to be released?

Italy 8 September 2006 (Venice Film Festival)
Spain 3 November 2006 (Seville Film Festival)
France 13 December 2006
Belgium 20 December 2006
Spain 2 March 2007
Argentina 21 June 2007
They haven't decided when it's to be released in the UK and the US but as it qualifies as an "arty" film it's not likely to be on general release. Not all cinemas will show it so it's worth keeping a look out in Empire magazine and your local papers. I saw it being filmed and it will look amazing!

Not long now. Ken Brannagh's directing it you know, apparently Mo Zard (or something) has agreed to do the music. If you're interested; Ken used to go out with Emma Thomson, but she chucked him because she wanted to go out with Dennis Wise.
