Muslim population in India is just 10% to 20% But for the Muslim fesivals Indian Government is declared as a holiday. Do the Hindus go to the Muslims and spend time and wish them??? For the Muslim festivals all over India Indian Government declared holidays. I think all the Hindus celebrate the Muslim festivals. Since I am not in the Government services I am asking this question as to why this holiday for the majority Hindus for the Muslim festivals. Looking for your reply.

I don't know the answer, but would venture a guess that it's to show respect for the Muslim population and to recognize they are a part of the country too.

Okay lets say that the Muslim population is 15%. And the total population of India is 100million. That is 15 million angry Muslims out their with no recognition by their own government. Ohh yea and everything India has good is because of the Muslims. The Taj Mahal and all those lovely Mosques and Palaces.

i think its because they want to be friends with the muslims or be nice to them.
