If you have flash drives those are good for transfering small files. Also, I have a 250GB external hard drive for my laptop. I keep all big files like movies and stuff on there and I plan on putting everything onto that and then transferring it to my new laptop when I get a new one. Flash drives (250MB) are about 16-20 dollars. The external hard drive I got was 130

a 1 GB flash drive is the easy way - - or you could burn to CD. The CD serves as a backup when done.
There are USB cables for transfer but I doubt if you have enough data to transfer that would warrant the cost and setup.

just like pappy said but if its to old u might not have a cd burner. if this is the case and u have a usb connection get a usb to usb connection cable and tranfire from one computer to the other.
