Depends what your purpose of staying is, of course.
Indonesia: this is where I come from. Many people who've been in Indonesia all their life complain that Indonesia is a very annoying country, but now that I'm back from the West I come home with a new ability to see more than a thousand good things that actually come from Indonesia. After all, Indonesia has gone a long way in staying united and standing against foreign invaders, and I'm proud to take part in taking this generation to an even higher level.
USA: I like the US and a lot of things that come from the US and how Americans like to make life so convenient. Nice place to experience and start a career while still young and single, or even to start a young family. But I don't consider it home and wouldn't want to live there all my life.
Australia: Great people, great music, always fun. Australians just know how to have themselves a good time, and they're friendly, honest people. They also take extra good care of the environment! Australia is definitely my second choice of a country to live in if Indonesia isn't an option.
Canada: I like Vancouver! Nuff said.
Belgium: I love the lifestyle: petite cities with ageless beauty, fine cuisine, and laid-back people who absolutely enjoy life. I had nothing to complain about while I lived there. Probably that's why a travelling Belgian is something very rare--their country is so comfortable, why would they want to leave it?
Singapore: A utopia: industrial country with strict regulations and high standards, but also a very rich Asian culture from many ethnicities and nationalities. Their performing arts scene is also superb! I've never actually lived there, but my vacations to Singapore have always been pleasant.

Last November my partner and I moved out of the city with a pop. of 2.5 million people into a community of 10,000. On a canal with boats and open spaces. Needless to say the change was dramatic. We have a city about 30 minutes away that is about 30,000 where we can shop. We find the people are far more friendly. Shopping is a breeze without the crowds. Now you need to realize my partner and I are both in our fifties and were fed up with the crowds and traffic congestion in the city. There are no clubs or nightlife to talk about where we are. If you wish a quiet serene life the country is the place to be. Should we wish to go into the "Big" city it is only 1 hr. away.
