How long before the Executive branch is found to be spying on Americans for political purposes?

There is no oversight - just a claim that the searches are used to look for terrorists., like the J. Edgar Hoover spying on Elvis Presley, MLK, etc. in the past.

Thanks for a great link..unbelievably scary. I'm sure it's already happening, stories about that everywhere. What I don't understand is why no one thinks it's interesting or true. The FBI, CIA, NSA and the Executive branch have more power than ever in recent history-makes the J Edgar Hoover era look mild. We won't hear about spying for political purposes or even those imprisoned for political purposes because that can be done in the name of national security.
