Just drove to the garage for petrol and each time I put the indicator on (either way) my full beam came on as well, and it wouldn't go off until the indicator did.
Any ideas what the problem could be please?
My car is a Fiesta if that helps at all.
Thanks.

Would most probably be a dodgy indicator swich or wiring. Does it feel loose?

I've never looked specifically at an indicator circuit in a car but (with older cars anyway) the indicator circuit runs via a relay. If the hazards always work it is probably the stalk. The stalk acts as a low voltage switch and when you push it up/down it knocks a couple of contacts together which puts power across a timing circuit which in turn switches a relay on and off (Sending power to the light). If the contacts don't make a solid connection the timing circuit will switch on/off very quickly and the buzzing sound is the relay. Alternatively, there could be a bad connection or dry joint somewhere along the circuit or maybe the coil or contacts on the relay have worn.

Sounds like a poor ground to the metal body in the wiring.

could be damp weather causing the wires to short - best take it to a garage and get them to have a look!
