This seems to be an acceptable from the perspective of those that "approve" of it as a healthy expression of sexual freedom.

However, many of these same men are homophobic, and do not approve of gay male relationships.

This question is directed towards men who "love" the idea of being in bed with two women, but find the idea of two men together as immoral.

There are some really great perspectives here. Please keep them coming.

Especially the comment about "women as objects" and that "two women together are not really lesbians, just horny women".

This is very interesting, would love to hear more perspectives from straight men, but all comments VERY appreciated! Thank you!

one woman, nude and hot - makes man horny, right?
Two women, nude and possibly at it - make a man twice as horny. (because he imagines what he could do if he could get his hands on them...)

A man doesn't make a straight man horny at all.
Two men, possibly doing it with one another, make a straight man as un-horny as possible, i.e. repulsed.

I'm a woman and it's the same for me. I find the idea of two men together (of course with a prospect of me maybe having a chance) pretty damn hot.
The idea of two women together doesn't do anything for me, cause I really don't see myself joining them or sth. It boils down to what one desires.
Get it?

Unfortunately most heterosexual males are following the majority and not what they truly feel.

What it is, is that two women 2gether (whether or not they are lesbians or jus havin sex---yes there is a difference) is something that a male can imagine "having". It is accepted by the "majority". Males have an "ego" to protect which again is justified by what the "majority" thinks.

Men look at everything like they were conquerors, reguardless of how big or small or what the situation is...ergo two men is not conquerable by a hetero man. Hetero men give lesbians the same arrogant attitude, especially when she shuts them down time after time...ego is hurt, not accepted by the majority(rejection) and they did not and are not able to conquer, now the 'bians are called out their name.

To be blunt hetero men are all...."that lovely softness owned by all women"(pu**y). BWD=B*****s with d*ks, as i like to say.

It's because two women together don't pose a threat to men or their masculinity - it's enjoyable for them to see two women together, because it means those two women are there for their enjoyment. The porn industry has made literally millions of dollars exploiting this fantasy, and we get the idea that women like to perform for a man's benefit, so it's a hot fantasy. In reality, lesbians don't want to perform for a man, a men enters nowhere into that relationship. But through the media eye, "lesbians" are suddenly vehicles for a man's pleasure (and there's a good chance they aren't lesbians, just straight women performing sex acts.).

Two men together is a different story. The same guy that finds two women together hot won't find two men hot because it's not for his benefit. Homosexuality is perceived as a threat to masculinity, so it doesn't have the same effect. This is usually called a "double standard" - when two women together are eroticized, but two men are not. The women are "accepted" (although I would argue, "exploited") because what they're doing is non-threatening, for the enjoyment of men. Two men together is not, therefore it's not tolerated at all.

The only good reason I can think of would be that its a matter of personal preference. The reasons for this preference may be widely varied, so I don't feel that I can pinpoint a single reason. I mean, try and turn the question around the other way:

"How is it that some homosexual men are turned on by the idea of 2 men in bed?"

All you fellow queens out there who've been asked this question will know that the answer is simple: "I know what I like."

A lot gay males are size queens....a very male trait

Many males like to boast they have the biggest house, biggest car, most expensive computer...what a great lover they are with many noches in their record

You do not see Lesbian women or straight women offer talk like that, most women prefer recognition for achievement...and don't get into pissing contest over the "biggest"

For most of history only a few males held power or had the resources for multiple women.....now some societies did promote the right of males to take on several woman in marriage!.

In a modern society, you might have a few Hugh Hefner's but most straight males take solace in trying to score...a sweet numbers games till they settle down

Now having two women....basic female competitors sleeping with one male at the same time.....if much harder concept to pull off.
Gay males can go to a bath house and enjoy a series of male sex encounters.....that world does not exist in straights culture

It is major bragging rights.....getting two females to acknowledge you as a great enough lover or catch to share you...nice ego booster and raises your status with males friends

Size and Numbers....very traditional male traits

I am one (heterosexual male) who is NOT turned on by two women having sex. Actually, I am not turned on by watching anyone have sex. I think it should be a private matter between the participants only.

I am not against two women, or two men for that matter, having sex - but it should be between them and only them. Unless they are having a three-way or orgy, it should be private.

I know some lesbians that I would love to hook up with, individually, (if they decided they were bi instead), but I would not do it with the intent of seeing girl on girl action as many people here claim.

Maybe I am a bit older than the majority here, but to me sex should be a private thing - not for others viewing pleasure.

I also don't feel one should have sex, for the purpose of having sex. It should be reserved for the one you love. I can't believe how promiscuous people of today are. They brag about having sex with 130 partners over 10 years, or having sex with people they have either just met or don't even know.

I guess I am going to get flack about THIS message. Sorry - but that is really how I feel.

women has been socially been excepted by this because they have always been close with each other even in public. In high school they hug when meeting each other, they brush each others hair, have pajama parties, snuggle when it's cold.

For men it's the social norm to be tough acting, off standish etc. If your heterosexual then what is better then one woman? Two

Men are visually stimulated. And men are turned on by pictures of naked women, aren't they? So it stands to reason that they'll be doubly turned on by two women doing each other.

As a lesbian, I roll my eyes at this fantasy of theirs 'coz it's not original. EVERY man has it. What annoys me the most is the man whose ego is so huge that he thinks one shag with him will set me "straight". It's exactly those kinds of men who make me glad I'm gay!

I feel that it's only fair (in a straight relationship) if a guy asks his girl for a threesome with another chick, that she gets to have a threesome with another guy too! See how many men suddenly back out of THAT deal...

well, those people probably think all homosexual sex is immoral. but they still get turned on by two women since morality isn't exactly the thing that turns a guy on.

but personally, I think it's pretty hypocritical to be a fan of lesbianism but to be grossed out and disapprove of male gay-ness.

Because they can watch girl on girl sex and not feel like someone might think they are gay. Obviously they would not be as turned on by the thought of two men together because they might have to picture themselves in that situation.
