I use Mink Oil. You can buy it where you purchase shoe cleaning products. It comes in a tin (paste form) and it makes the leather supple with a nice sheen and it also makes it water resistant. Fragrance free, too. Just apply with a soft cloth and then buff off with another soft cloth. It works beautifully and is inexpensive.

Got any Bacon Grease. Or do you save your cooking grease after it is used. That is what my Granpaw use to use. It can stink, so set it in the sun to air out and soak in. As with anything, use just a small amount in a test area, look at the results, if happy, continue.
