Well, I think you'll find the world will still be hearing of Elvis in 50 years time because of his music.
There is little doubt that Presley is the most talked about and written about performer of the 20th Century.
His popularity started in the 1950's and still going.
Where's Micheal Jackson's started with the album THRILLER in 1982.
But both their music appeals to ALL nationalities.

As entertainers go, they are both at the top of the game. However, considering all the things involved in their lives, I'd have to pick Elvis. He is still a huge influence on bands that are just coming out today.
