Dark platter or miasma?

2007-01-14 05:07:00 · answer #1 · answered by catarthur 6 · 1 0

I'll take a Dark matter, medium rare, with a few onion rings on the side.
My wife will have the plasma, an Italian salad to go with it.

Oh- give me a Château Margaux 1981 and two glasses.

Good question..if a bit cryptic! Current calculations of the rate of expansion of the universe yield a greater value of mass than is observable. This has been called 'dark matter' It may consist of exotic species like WIMPS or magnetic monopoles or it may consist simply of unobservable red/brown dwarf stars or even black holes. You need about 3 proton masses/m3 for the limiting value(ie so that the universe neither ultimately contracts or expands without limit), and so far 2/3 of this mass is unaccounted for.

As in "Ginger or Maryanne?".

Well, Dark Matter is very mysterious and fundamentally unknown, but has simple dynamical equations, whereas Plasma is ubiquitous and ordinary, but really complex once you add magnetic, chemical and nuclear effects.

That question is like asking apples or my neighbor's minivan? They have nothing to do with each other. Sorry.
