For people with onboard navigation in their cars?

Do you have to pay monthly for this system? If so, why do you do it when their are free maps online?

No, no montly payments. Except if you have real-time traffic info like they do on the Acura MDX, then you start paying after a free trial period.

I have it in my Lexus RX350 because I can take it with me.... and if I'm in an unfamiliar area, I'll know where the gas station, restaurant, shopping, hotels, etc. are.
