Your question asking, i think: Why does india have the briggest slum of Asia?
I'm starting right from the beginning. Yes india has asia's biggest slum in mumbai, it is known as darabi (i'm quite sure)... and it still has the biggest slum because, first of all, india has a very large population of a billion. mumbai therefore also has a very large population of millions. India right now is a developing country, poverty existed way before that... everyday there are people moving from small towns and villages hoping their dreams of better standards of living will be achieved in mumbai. Yet when they come, they see a different story and so when they cannot find jobs etc they start settling in slum areas. Because of this the slums are getting bigger by the day. Slums, include hundreds of thousands of adults and infants living there....you cannot just get rid of them....number one - where do you put them?...number two - its going to cost you money. In the society that exists today are there people who are willing to do this? i don't really think so. Also, mumbai is by the sea...it as a city cannot expand anymore, so where are you going to put them?? I guess the ministers there are ignoring the slum dwellers as they make mumbai's "indian financial hub" image tainted.
i hope this clarifies.

for your imformation it haves the largest numbers of beggar too. The dignity of work is not here in India. People become more lazy to work they all want easy money which leads them to move from village to big cities in search of easier work but they end up jobless and bankrupt and so the started living in slums.... please tell people city is not a good option to get jobs.. the villages are a better place to farm and eat and survive with dignity.......

I can't say because I've never been there, but if you live in India it sounds like you have a golden opportunity to help improve conditions for your countrymen.
