Take the pregnancy test on the day you are supposed to start your period. The tests are pretty accurate. If it says "negative", then you are not pregnant, and do not need to worry any further.

The morning after pill can stop a pregnancy from happening ONLY if you are not yet pregnant. If you are pregnant and then take it, it's no good....

Your doctor is going for early detection. I will say this though, when you get a home prego test, make sure you get a good one, because they are not all created equally. Also, do it in the morning for more trustworthy results..

Good Luck!

Home pregnancy tests generally aren't effective until at least two weeks after you have unprotected sex. Sometimes closer to three weeks.

A blood test is more accurate and can be done earlier. I know you want to know but really even if you got a negative urine test before three weeks, or a negative blood test before two weeks it wouldn't mean that you aren't pregnant. It is unlikely that you would get a false positive, but a false negative is very likely if you test to soon.
