I have gone through menopause and haven't had a period in over 2 years. Now after taking Levothyroxin for a month, I have started having a period again. Is this normal. I am only taking 50mcg a day.

Sure can happen. I was just reading up on it again (I was radiated for way high T3/T4 2.5 years ago, and I'm not OK yet)...
and the book by the MD expert says that low thyroid levels, even a little low, can cease menses.
You're OK.
But call your doctor to report the difference, definitely! It's important info for her/him to have!

after checking webmd, i see that it is a hormone drug for treating problems with the thyroid. if it is a hormone drug, a new period doesn't surprise me but i would still talk to the doc about this issue. i doubt that he will see this as a problem but the dr.s like to keep on top of this stuff and make a note of it in your chart
