Is it just me or do you find yourself breathless sometimes because there's not enough time in a day? Kids activities, family obligations, social life, house keeping. I don't even work outside my home and I have help sometimes but, I don't have enough time. I shouldn't even be on here. Things I should be doing but, I need a break. Maybe I need a course in organizational skills? Not enough time! lol! Do you feel the same?

Yes, I find it hard to find a good balance between work, hobbies/interests, and family. I would guess, though, that this is an age-old problem. Even when we were hunters and gatherers, I would guess that there wasn't enough time in the day to get everything done -- weaving that basket, making that bow and arrow, and washing clothes in the stream.....

We just want more stuff now!

I AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Western world is way too fast and getting faster. My grandmother is 98 yrs old. God bless her! I see monthly. She lived through a lot of changes. Think about it. Only 98 yrs. and she didn't have running water, no light bulbs, no phones, no TV, no cars, no cement roads, no gutters, no sewer systems, etc. The women wore dresses most of the time, hats in the churches, men always took their hats off in churches and public places and tipped their hats at the presence of a lady, kids were happy with one ball in the dirt road for hours or at the swim hole, etc. No screens on the windows, pies on the window sills, didn't lock doors much, doctors came to your house, funerals were held at your house, etc. Today we have ipods and iphones. (&millions of other gadgets and our country is called the richest country in the world yet we are billions of dollars in debt) I don't get that!

My grandmother lived a hard life, don't get me wrong, but she lived a happy life. She still has a happy life and I love listening to all her stories. I think our technology has made us lazy and unfriendly with our neighbors or at least impersonal and we fight more because we are jealous of our neighbors material possessions and we have to work more to make more money to buy more than what our neighbor has. I enjoyed the 70s more. I grandmother loved the 40s.

Americans rarely take vacations, and when they do it's for about a week. They take their cell phones and lap tops so they can keep up the grind. Europeans take 4 -5 weeks, and leave those phones at home. They have fewer nervous break downs too.

No sir.. i live in "slow St. Lucia"
the difference is the bible and we still have strong family values and old fashion stuff doing and we are alive

the man plays his role and the woman does hers too
anyway we stray away from God and our teasures (goals and aspiration ) are of the world, we can never have time.

go back to God, Pray, spend family worship and you'll have more time for yourself and not enough to teach the word of God
