When my husband and I first started trying to conceive, I started keeping track of my cycle. You can do it on your own, but I found a really helpful website that I used. It's free and very easy to use. It also emails you a few days before you start ovulating and tells you the best time of the month for you to get pregnant. Try it out.

My husband and I are about to have our baby. He'll be here Jan. 19th by C-Section!!

Good Luck!!

The fact that in 6 months of on/off trying to conceive you haven't got pregnant does not mean there is anything wrong with you.

I've know of couples that have tried for years and didn't conceive right away. If you are trying to get pregnant, you should find out when you are ovulating and try around that time. If you still don't get pregnant after trying for a few months, then i would suggest you visit your doctor.

There a tons of tests out there to help them detect any fertility problems.

Good luck & hope you have a healthy baby

It can take a normal, healthy couple up to a year to conceive. If you want to know when you are ovulating, you can use an ovulation kit. Then you can have sex at the best time to get pregnant. If after a year of trying at the time of when you ovulate, then you can go to a fertility specialist to see if anything is wrong with either of you. For people under 35, they want you to try a year on your own before they would consider infertility.

I was in a long term relationship for 4 years with a man i thought i loved,we didnt use protection during sex and I never once got pregnant in 3 years (we stopped using protection after 1 year)..Then after we split i got with my now husband and fell pregnant after 2 months with him on accident, amazingly. I just think the timing is off for u. If u arent trying then there is only a minimal chance of u concieving. My sister is law was trying for almost a year before she got pregnant also. Just make sure u time when u are ovulating and then try having sex, after sex lay on your back with your legs straight in the air for 10-15 minutes...If u still dont fall pregnant after a year which im sure u will way before then if u try, then see a fertility specialist..They also have ovulation kits on the market to help you out. otherwise go to ovulation calendar.com and download it,its free and is a good way of telling u when u can get pregnant..it worked for my last pregnancy within a month of using it. Good luck!

I heard that having unprotected sex every week after your interval is nontoxic, for the reason that you are not fertile at this time. My husband and that i had sex like this (unprotected) for months thinking it used to be a good preventative approach. Nonetheless sooner or later my body determined to ovulate early, or his sperm lived inside of me for every week or so and that i got pregnant! So it's viable...

6 Months is not that long esecially if your not trying. I had un protected sex with my partner for 12 month (also not really trying) before i got pregnant. If your worried im sure you can talk to a doctor of find out when your ovulating and try and do it around then.

I dont no much about it, we just decided to continue enjoying love making as much and often as we decided and just to see what happens.

Hi there. You should definitely talk to your ob/gyn. Don't panic. You haven't even been monitoring whether you've been having sex to better your chances according to your cycle...try that. Also, just thought I would tell you that I have loads of friends who were on the pill that had to wait a while before they concieved...even after the recommended time. How are your periods? If you were on a drug....your system may need time to adjust...don't panic. It depends on the person. Good luck!

you shouldn't worry if you aren't really trying to conceive all the time. they say after you really try for 1 year with no pregnancy, then you and your partner are both tested for fertility problems. 6 months is nothing, try waiting 4 years, all of them spent trying to concieve after getting pregnant with first child on first time trying. it will happen when it happens.

I know that this may sound gross, and i'm sorry if it bothers anyone... but i do suggest try having sex around the time of your periods. The few days before your periodstarts.... (i know this is gross but it helped some woman) and during your period. and then have sex right after your period. my grandma told me when i was trying to have a baby that she could only get pregnant around the time of her periods... and the advice helped. Good luck!!!
